March 26, 2010, Newsletter Issue #120: Contact Lenses & Swimming

Tip of the Week

It is best if you donīt swim with your contact lenses in because there are bacteria in the water that can adhere to your lenses and cause infections. If you do swim in your contacts, you should wear goggles over them and you should disinfect them immediately afterwards. This will keep your eyes free of infection. If you swim often try prescription swimming goggles. They will allow you to see in and out of water without your contact lenses!
